Try a Tubescreamer or SD-1 instead of the Rat. ;)

I was just thinkin the same thing.

I'll try both of my BE-OD boost pedals instead of the RAT.

Don't have a TS or SD-1

Not that they're bad (although I haven't used my RedWires in years), they are old.

Undoubtedly there are better iRs out there. Ownhammer being one, etc

The other thing is you're doubling up on the cap tone.

Try one cap tone (bright) and one cone tone (dark).

Or just edge of cap only.

And yeah, the RAT doesn't fit in George's tone.

I have some Celestion iRs and they're good too
