Back in 2012 in the Times Of Israel, an article was published by Elad Nehorai stating that in fact, they DO control the media and should be very proud of it. The article made it a year, maybe less but it has been archived and I'm trying to find it but got to no avail. There are mentions in articles and I'll post one of those below. Around that time, they were being very open in their press and media but then realized how quickly the news was spreading due to the net...there was a speech or interview Netanyahu gave where he said that the US knows Israel rules over them and they know to do as told - that one is one that'd really get fired people up but we all know how that goes.
