I read the story... it didn't sound like anything he said was that outrageous unless it was worse than portrayed in the story. It also sounded like they are going after the guy because he supported the recount if the understood the context of the story correctly.

Yes, I was expecting something more extreme, but that's how it always goes... apologize and be humble once caught. If only politicians would maintain some degree of ethics and values and not be put into a position where they have to apologize.
