I see more than what was discussed in the previous video. When the person walks in between the camera and the subject, the needle gets withdrawn back up into the syringe.

Then, you see it extend back out before the fake injection.

I found a pretty good copy of the original video and enlarged it and slowed it down to 1/4 speed.

Yep.

It's there when the syringe first comes into frame, then it disappears back into the syringe.

After the person walks between the camera and the subject, you can see the needle extend out.

Also, watch that stainless steel cylinder right inside the tip of the syringe.. it appears and disappears when the needle is extended or retracted.
