Largest human trafficking sting in Ohio history nets 161, including city councilman.
Called “Operation Ohio Knows”, it is the states largest ever human trafficking bust. Over 161 people arrested in a sex sting operation last week.
Ten missing children were recovered and 51 potential human trafficking victims were helped in this week-long operation. Out of the 161 arrested for seeking to buy sex, one had his toddler in the car with him. Three were allegedly targeting minors, according to Ohio Attorney General David Yost.
This is also the first time in Ohio there is a criminal statute making it a more serious crime to buy sex than sell sex.”
