Lesbian bar shuts down one week after opening because they weren't woke enough

Employees of Doc Marie’s created an Instagram page to echo these concerns. They claimed that the owners weren’t proactive enough in creating a safe space and accused the owners of racism. The employees also demanded that the bar host “free opportunities for education” for the community.

Eventually, the employees demanded the owners relinquish ownership of the bar and hand the business to them. The owners were given a “24-hour deadline” to adhere to the ludicrous demands.

Just five days after opening, the bar announced on July 6th that they had to close temporarily in order to address the cries from the woke mob for a “safe and inclusive space.”

I gotta tell ya, brother.. I was born at Tidelands general hospital right there on I-10, in 1962. I lived in Houston 50 years.. It was not like that until 2000.

As soon as they started that "sanctuary city" bullshit, that town went to hell.

I lived thru "integration" (forced bussing) in the public schools, I worked in the oilfield industry as a teenager. I was working 12-hour shifts in the pipe yards off Sheldon road in 1980.

People were courteous, hard-working, God-fearing.. I watch the YouTube news feed out of Houston these days and I am astounded at the depravity, senseless murders, crime..

My view of the city is sort of jaded, probably because of the areas I grew-up in- I was born at St Joseph's in 72 and grew-up in 2nd Ward until 87 and then my mom and I moved to an apartment in the Gulfton area after she left my step-dad...that was in the middle of the crack years - both areas weren't the best as a kid but I agree with you, back before and right up until Katrina it wasn't too bad as a whole - after that...things really went south big-time in my old area on the SW side with the NO refugees. I cringe now every time going into the city and don't see how the few friends and family I have that still lvie there do it.
