Yeah, those quotes are talking about the antichrist, or the pseudo-christo , meaning "in place of Christ".
The antichrist will usher in an era of false peace and prosperity which will last 3-1/2 years.
At the end of that 3-1/2 years he will break a treaty/agreement with Israel and attack them.. this begins the last half (3-1/2 years) of the Great tribulation (7-year period).
