Damn! I used to skateboard in back of the old location not far from there off of S Braeswood as a kid and teenager - it wasn't until I was a few years older I really learned what they were all about but the place always creeped us out with the big scimitar and symbolism they had on the building

Yeah, I grew up in a neighborhood named "Songwood", located at Mercury Drive @ I-10.. east side of Houston.

There was a Masonic lodge right there in the middle of the subdivision.

We used to ride our bikes through the parking lot as kids. Never knew what it was until I was older and stumbled across it on a mapping software. The nondescript building itself had no signage or anything to say what it was. I always thought, as a kid, that it was some kind of business.

I also remember when my grandmother moved into City of Southside Place which is one of the three little cities that reside near each other along Bellaire Blvs - West University, Bellaire, City of Southside Place - we'd drive to the Weingarten's grocery store off Weslayan and Bissonett and pass by this nondescript small building that had one sign on it and it was this:

I was a young kid and remember being creeped-out by it as I knew it was an inverted pentagram and the fact it was right there as if it was nothing mad eit even creepier - again, wasn't until years later I found out what it actually was.

Yeah that's the women's chapter of the Masons.. "Daughters of the eastern star".. or something like that.

I found it. 603 Baca St. Galena Park Lodge 1290 AF&AM

Not a single window in the whole damned building.
