That's great PLX! I know you've been wanting one for quite a while. I think you 'll find it to be very quiet and very transparent almost HI-FI. 8-)

Did you find a 115ACV one? I think you told me there are 100,115 and 220 ACV taps on the inside of the 100ACV ones. I had two at one time, one was 100ACV and the other was 115ACV they both sounded the same to me. :P

Yeah, the price of these things went parabolic after EVH died. Not to mention, all the ones I was seeing for sale on line were all banged up, cracked circuit boards, etc.

This one is wired for Japan, but it's an easy mod to change taps off the power transformer.

The prices have dropped, but I haven't seen one this clean for less than $450 until now.

Damn, this thing looks like it spent the past 43 years hermetically sealed inside Ed Van Halen's safe :!:

Man, you did score big with that one for the price you got considering the condition and condition of the others out there in the wild for sale! Awesome!!!!!

It looked really good in the pictures of the ad, but holy smokes :!:

It's bizarre because it looks brand new.

Looks nice! Did you get it from that pedal ninja guy in Austin?

Did you convert it to 115ACV yet?

Yes.

About to rewire it to 117V.

From the factory, wired for Japan (100V) the blue wire off the power transformer goes to the black (hot) of the mains.

All you have to do is swap the blue wire for the unused green wire (117V).

Yeah, I've seen some nutty prices on these over the years..

Here's a thread from 2008 where one sold for over $500 :? That's $658.88 in Biden dollars today.
