You might appreciate this.
Looks cheap (is cheap) - but it sure works.

Otherwise something like a Tremel-no, or even a block of wood.

Re: Blocking a floating Floyd Rose tremolo
And that's what I'm looking for. I wanna allow it to dive only.
I swear I used to have a Tremol-No in this here guitar.. I can even see two drill holes in the spring cavity where it used to be.
I tried to tune to drop-D last night and... what a fucking nightmare You also can't do unison bends with the tremolo floating.
edit: I searched thru all my guitar parts/Floyd Rose spare parts, etc.. I can't find the trem block I obviously used to have installed in this guitar, so I just ordered a new one off Amazon.

Re: Blocking a floating Floyd Rose tremolo
What you have there is as good as any. I didn't think much of the tremelono system.
I hate floating trems..........
All my floyds are flush mounted to the body for dive only now for quite some time. If you want to play dime or Gillis then it has to float.

Yeah, I tried to get that "Sophia Tremolo" guy to answer some basic questions because that looked interesting, but he just came back with nonsense..harddriver wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 4:58 pm What you have there is as good as any. I didn't think much of the tremelono system.

I'm pretty sure there was one of these in here before because the mounting holes were there.
I also have one of those "Hipshot Tremolo Stabilizers", but those are crap.

No doubt it works great... but what's funny is my door bolt stopper trick pics somehow look more "elegant" a solution.
