Re: Signature Guitars?
I'm generally not a big rap for such things, but two I have a lot o' love for are:
Music Man Luke II
Charvel GG
For the Luke III they made the switch to passive DiMarzios and whilst they sound great, they're a bit too-dark and lack a bit o' balls IMHO, something the Lukather-spec'd EMGs in the Luke I and Luke II have in spades.
For those who ever wondered, the only difference between the Luke I & Luke II models is the bridge - FR in the I and "conventional floater" in the II.

Re: Signature Guitars?
Indeed, brother.
I reckon the I and II produce superb cleans and beautifully-balanced OD and heavy tones.

I am really pleased with my Knaggs Steve Stevens SS2 models.

Re: Signature Guitars?
No, I feel like an asshole playing someone else's signature. I'm strictly talking about graphic guitars though, EVH, DeMartini, George Lynch, etc.

Re: Signature Guitars?
I hear ya on those ones specifically. I would probably not go there myself. I was talking more "normal" stuff.

Re: Signature Guitars?
Those are friggin' pricey, although I did pay a hefty amount for my Music Man Majesty. Love that guitar in many ways. However, I tend to grab something else for cleans (it sounds passable on cleans, but some of my other guitars have a rounder sound, more bell-like, etc.).
