I've been a member there for a good while, but rarely post stuff. It's a great site for studio rats.

So they recently changed their name from "Gearslutz" to "Gearspace" in April.

Gearslutz to become Gearspace: pro audio forum name change confirmed. Jules Standen, founder of the popular Gearslutz forum, has confirmed that it will be changing its name to Gearspace in April. ... The site will now have a new URL, www.gearspace.com, but all existing bookmarks will continue to work.

Sounds like Jules became "woke" like a little soy-pussy and is afraid of the whiners who don't like the term "slutz".

Slutz and Whores. Maybe that's the issue. A slut does it for free, whereas a whore gets paid. That site gets paid to push things (nothing wrong with that... it needs to make money... but that makes it a whore, not a slutz).

A whore might get paid but gear slutz pay for their equipment and very few earn that money back through music.

I wasn't happy about the PC / woke name change and said as much leading up to it. I even received repeated abuse from a snowflake who was defending the name change. He accused me of being racist 'cause... my avatar.

Having used the avatar for the better part of 20 years, it's the first time someone has seen it that way, and of course, it was an SJW.
