Speakers:
I don't have real Greenbacks or D120s
I'll typically use the Suhr Reactive Load then load up iRs (in DAW or Two Notes Torpedo CAB M+)
Always D120 + G12M-25 Greenbacks together with SM57s on both
Roughly 75% D120 and 25% Greenback mix to help with that unique 1st album bite
Studio:
UAD 1176 for few dBs of compression
Pultec EQP-1 for hi-pass (tightening bottom end), lo-pass and a little sparkle
Pultec MEQ-5 (scoop 700Hz)
Eventide official H910 plugin, stock (no detune), Feedback 15-25%, Mix 15%
Extra Studio:
I have added via UA Apollo Unison the UAD API Vision Channel Strip (only using mic pre gain)
This is before the signal hits the DAW, and the item before this is the Two Notes Torpedo CAB M+ with iRs
So, just like running a pair of mics to the console (API)
I will use UAD tape both on the guitar and the "2" (main stereo out channel) - Studer 800, Ampex
Reverb Channel:
IK Multimedia Sunset Sound Chamber 1 (100ms pre-delay, hi pass & lo pass)
Have used UAD EMT140 as well
Mix:
Typically the dry guitar panned anywhere (depending on song) 66-90% Left channel
I pipe a buss out from that track (MONO only) to the Reverb Channel (see above)
Reverb panned out 50%-90% Right channel, unless Runnin' With The Devil (100% center stereo reverb)
