I'm doing it now at my house, and I'll follow up with pics for anyone who's interested.
We had a big power grid fuck-up here last winter.. not gonna go thru that shit again.

I have a portable one that has gotten us through many hurricanes back in Houston. I remember during Ike in 2008, we were living in Cypress and we lost power for 3 days. This generator ran 2 refrigerators simultaneously, and paid for itself by saving all the food therein.harddriver wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 9:02 pm I'm surprised you waited this long considering how prepped you are PLX.....![]()
Yeah, I looked into that.harddriver wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 9:02 pm They just closed down two nuclear power plants by me so that's about 4000 megawatts out of the grid now, I imagine that's part of their plan to drive up power generation cost on the common citizen.
I've been doing a lot of research.harddriver wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 9:02 pm I lose power usually in the winter during heavy storms, I've been without power for 2-3 days is sometimes so losing power is commonplace here. I have backup heaters in my house as well that require no electricity.
Glad to hear that you a getting one, it adds a little peace of mind.
