Re: Overdrive pedals (SLO type)
The only SLO type pedal is the Soldano GTO pedal. I had one for a few years. It weighed as much as a 2x12 and was noisy as fuck. It runs tubes in it & is powered directly into a wall AC socket. Wouldn't recommend it AT ALL.
There is no pedal that sounds like a SLO and if you'd played the GTO you'd know exactly what I'm talking about.
Quicker and cheaper in the long run to buy a SLO clone amp head.

Re: Overdrive pedals (SLO type)
I thought I remembered Wampler did something so I searched YT and here's what I got.

So are we digging the Wampler pedal? I didn't think it sounded like an SLO but maybe in the room it's close....

Re: Overdrive pedals (SLO type)
If you want the SLO sound, buy the SLO 100. If you want the SLO sound in a pedal buy the SLO 30
A small amp is about as big now a days as a Big Box pedal...lol.
There really is no pedal I have found that does it. I had the GTO and regret selling it for novelty purposes but it was closer than anything pedal wise that I tried. YMMV

Re: Overdrive pedals (SLO type)
Yea …kinda what I’m thinking. Nothing really exists except the real thing.
There was Soldano 30 on FB market place for 2k. It’s gone now..couldn’t really afford it anyway.
I may have the closest I can get w/o buying an amp; Headrush with SLO 100 sims on board. Been running it through a small power amp into a 212…it’s what made me start this looking around and ask this question. I’d love to be able to throw a pedal into my tube amp clean channel And get as close as I can.

Re: Overdrive pedals (SLO type)
I hear ya. Hit up GC or MF when they have their 48 months financing and eat Raman until it's paid off because the TOANZ.mrdowntown wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 1:17 am Yea …kinda what I’m thinking. Nothing really exists except the real thing.
