James Murphy is a thrash metal / death metal icon in the guitar world. He has played with Death, Carcass, Obituary, Testament, etc. and has some solo stuff out as well. I always sought out and enjoyed any record that he played on because of his immense chops and playing style. His work in Testament alone is iconic. Below is a cool video where he talks about playing with all these bands, as well as his battle with cancer.

I always dug Murphy's playing, always wished he had done anotherrecord with Chuck and Death after his work on Spiritual Healing.
