Re: What are you waiting on?
Extra time to finish wiring my first Warmoth body so I can get it to the luthier. He's going to re-radius a strat neck I have and put stainless frets on.

Re: What are you waiting on?
I used to own a Thunder Tomate 14 pin NEC opamp Boss OD-1 clone about ten years ago. I picked up a SRB OD808/SD-1 pedal and at the time I felt the SRB beat the Thunder Tomate Taxi driver clone pedal so I sold the Thunder Tomate. I kinda regreted doing that so.....
A BYOC Yellow overdrive came up for sale on Reverb for 50 bucks...... it even has socketed pins on the PCB so I can easliy swap out diodes for the LED mods and another C3 and R5 mod, so I thought that was pretty cool for options on the fly....
So I am awaiting delivery of another Boss OD-1 clone pedal............Just what I needed...

Jeff (winder from metroamp) at High Order pickups.
He has a set of original Super 70's in his '75 Ibanez.
He's cloning them for my pickup.

Cool man I think you will like it, it's is different with that ALNICo8 magnet. I would pot it some if he gives yo the option but alot of guys say they are fine but I tend to like all my pickups potted.
I can't remember if my Smits Super 70 was potted but I think it was...

Yeah, we talked about the spec for about a week, and his comments convinced me to have him pot it.harddriver wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 2:23 am Cool man I think you will like it, it's is different with that ALNICo8 magnet. Like you and I were talking about a few days ago, I've tried just about all the other "EVH magic" pickups.
I have one of Jeff's 8.9K asymmetric wind, A2 humbuckers in a guitar with a Floyd Rose tremolo and it's perfect. The super 70 is gonna be for a string-thru body, fixed bridge guitar. The pickup I have in there now just doesn't quit work for me.

It is a cool pedal for sure. I am very pleased with it.
