He's got the juice now. Juicy saturation.PLX wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 3:54 amI gotta change all the EQ stuff I had going on for the other pickup.harddriver wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 3:32 am Thoughts on the pickup?
How does it sound?
Is the lowend tight enough for NUNO?
Obviously, I just switched off all that to start with. Tabula rasa.
Goes without saying.. this pickup has much higher signal strength. I had to adjust all the inputs to my DAW.

The little bit of time I've spent playing this pickup, I can tell it's gonna need very little EQ to get the later VH tones, and/or Nuno tones.

I low end is fairly tight on my model 78 so I will reserve judgment on this FW pickup. It might be a really great pickup.....

I'm working on "Fair Warning" right now as a reference tone. I'll let you guys tell me what you think.harddriver wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 6:35 pm I low end is fairly tight on my model 78 so I will reserve judgment on this FW pickup. It might be a really great pickup.....
I created an EQ spectrum on the first part of the original track (after the percussive intro thing, but before the drums come in). That's my benchmark tone. Using the "EQ match" in Fab Filter.
So far, I'm mostly cutting 700Hz to match his tone. I'm sure this is just to match what was done on the EQ console in the studio.
