Naw, that's just a piece of test gear used in conjunction with a variac when you start up a new build.

The variac can only control voltage, but the light bulb current limiter restricts current based on the wattage of the bulb used.

That's cool , I never thought of a current limiter on first fire up. I've always pulled all my tubes and increased ACV over an 8-12 hour period up to about 400DCV max to form the caps under their ratings but I like what you propose with the current limiter idea.

Getting back into this build (it's been a while ) I made some mods to the original circuit..

So, I removed the loop because I don't like, or use effects loops.

Also, added a "resonance control", which gives you more control over the bass response, and a variable NFB control.
