The Naga sounds better going into a real amp IMHO 8-) , not that the amp sim sounded horrible. The clip sounded really good but it seemed like the tone needs either more push from the pedal or some more gain from the amp.... not a ton but some. ;)

Iommi's sound has a lot a crisp crunchy treble riding on the notes that contributes to the crunch factor and I assume alot that is coming from the Treble booster.

i agree generally - although Ozzy Iommi and Dio Iommi are different tones, and I'm not sure what the goal is in particular.

Needs more bite and crunch either way. And the mids need slight scooping.

After re-listening a few times, I thought the same thing.

I went back in and dialed out some 700Hz and I thought it sounded a bit better.

Thing is.. the JCM-800 is not a high-gain amp, and I had the boost at 10 on the Naga Viper.. so the only other thing I could think of would be to add another boost pedal either before or after the Naga.

PRESENCE : 5
BASS : 2
MIDDLE : 10
TREBLE : 10
PREAMP : 7

Two tubes pulled. Running two 6CA7's. Amp running at 70VAC (variac'ed)

That clip was into a 16Ω reactive load/line out (no speaker cab)

Looks like I had it set pretty low .. about 2

I think it was set like that because when I have the amp connected to the 4x12 cab, I can only tolerate it at about that volume level here in this 10x10 room.

Wasn't thinking when I switched to silent recording with the reactive load box, but I could surely turn up the master volume as high as I want.

The reactive load I built can handle 500 watts.
