Re: Teh Snorkler
I'm still trying to figured out the function of that 470pf cap in series then dumping to ground through that 120K then 91K resistor...........
Is it bleeding high end somehow? It's not going to like that............ I mean he already has a .001uf (100pf) snubber cap on the V2A or B 330K plate resistor for that.......so WTF?
It cant' be shelving any frequency it's not bypass anything for an R/C constant.............
You can bleed high end by inserting a cap from the coupling cap of a gain stage to ground and it will bleed high end like a snubber, Cameron does that on the Jose's...........but that 470pf cap ain't doing that....................

Yeah, that's weird.
On the schem I got from the guy on MetroAmp, it actually shows a 91KΩ there.

Well, for me, as a hobbyist at this shit, the answer will be to build it and play thru it and post clips of what it sounds like.harddriver wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 3:46 am Get on that PLX........................Dammit........ I have no idea what you just said there about toe stubber caps and time constants and flux capacitors and 1.21 gigawatts..

Re: Teh Snorkler
It is a high-pass filter. Including the upstream stuff (Zo of the preceding stage and the 1M to ground), the -3dB point is ~1.3 kHz.harddriver wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 4:06 am You have 48 hours to tell me what the hell that capacitor is doing...............No more No less.................
