Honestly, if you are good with tape and take your time it is very easy to do yourself. There are even directions on how to do it from Stew Mac in the product description.

Ahhh....See the timestamp of our last posts. We posted at the exact same time...lol.
I hope your guitar works out for you. Make sure the dealer has a good return policy just in case. If you decided to go with the Les Paul and it didn't work for you you wouldn't lose money on it or it would be very little. Selling the EBMM down the road will be a different story if you ever decide to do so. I meant to mention that earlier and got sidetracked. Hopefully you get a lifetime guitar and don't have to worry about any of that stuff. Good luck!

I "try" not to sell my higher-end gear. the less costly stuff i'll play with it for a while and flip it. so hopefully, as you say i want have to worry with resale.
the Return on the R'verb EBMM i shared with ya'll is a 3 day return. i'm sure i'd pay shipping, unless it just turns out to be total garbage or something...or i feel "it's misrepresented in the ad"

Re: EBMM or Gibson
So I step and fetched myself a EBMM Cutlass in vintage tobacco with the roasted maple neck and board. A very striking instrument. And so well made. Damn it’s a fine instrument. I’m quite geeked out over it

Re: EBMM or Gibson
If I recall the 2015 era is not very good, which is why they changed management or something like that a few years later. I had a Slash LP, and it was OK... well made, etc., but I never gelled with it. I hate the upper fretboard difficulty when playing lead... better for those with large hands. In regard to the stability issue, a few months back Robert's Guitar Dungeon did a demo on some type of device (plastic or metal available) that hooked up to the headstock, which pulled the strings under and to the tuners... like a tree string. Apparently it works rather well, but they are made only for even headstocks, like the LP.
My main guitar is the Music Man Majesty, and it plays so well. It sounds great, but sometimes I want a less robust rhythm, which means picking up a different guitar. I also have others that have better sounding cleans (more bell-like with bigger notes), and so I will grab one of those.

Re: EBMM or Gibson
I added a couple more photos to the flikr link. Take a look…particularly at the dot/fret markers on the top. They aren’t round…more oblong looking. With a better eye than mine it looks like stain(or whatever they use to make these dots) bled during the finishing process. https://www.flickr.com/gp/138266949@N06/37zgyY
Thoughts? For a brand knew “high-end” axe…I’d expect better.
