Far more done to this amp than just KT88s making that sound.
KT88s sound hash (hifi ish) up loud with gain. Some like it but most tone hounds don't.
I took the KT88s out of my 20th Shiva and put in 6550s and it sounded WAY better.
Yes, I had to change the resistor to get the bias range for the 6550s.
