The Arena Towers or Arena Place buildings (there's also a theatre/venue where concerts and such have been performed over the years - saw Todd Rundgren and Alan Parsons with Nancy Wilson there in 2001) are an odd and evil place - I had two friends who worked in offices there and they both told me at separate times how creepy the buildings are. The land was developed by a wealthy couple who gave rein to their son and he was not only an occultist but also a serial killer - he was killing prostitutes and escorts and eventually killed himself before being caught. Throughout the buildings there are baphomets and inverted pentagrams in the marble and granite, not sure if they are still there after it has probably been sold over the years. The son killed himself in a penthouse apartment he had built on one of the building's top floors knowing he was about to be caught by the police for his crimes but the story has been swept under the rug for years now.

They're right off of 59 South at the Fondren intersection, a block away from the old Sharpstown Mall at Bellaire.

I was in that building around 2003, working a contract to install a small computer network for a real estate company.

I went in and saw the Ethernet wiring wasn't completed (wire just hanging out of the gang-boxes, no RJ-45 jacks).

I explained to the office manager that there was some sort of mix-up and that I could not get the desktop computers on the LAN or Internet until the wiring was completed. This woman acted like she was possessed by a demon. She just went ape-shit crazy, yelling, completely irrational..
