Reading this can save you a couple of hours of trying to figure out why Waves has disconnected your computer (device) from your licenses and refuses to load the plug-ins you have purchased..
Waves licensing is bound to the MAC address of your ethernet adapter. If you (1) change your ethernet adapter (2) disable your ethernet adapter (3) switch your computer to use a different ethernet adapter (ex: cellular hotspot) (4) change computers altogether, Waves will refuse to load your purchased plug-ins into your DAW and will spit out a cryptic error message which give little to no clue as to why.
I found this out last night because I routinely switch my ethernet connection on my desktop PC from my LAN connection in my home to my iPhone cellular hotspot. (I can tether off my phone and get 5G Internet connection speeds.)
It took me quite a while to research this and solve it.
