RAT Pedal Clone Build
Ok, so there's been a lot of interest in the RAT pedal round here lately. I figured I'll start assembling the parts for a build.
It's not like I sit around all day playing Nuno Bettencourt riffs.
Ok, I sit around all day playing Nuno Bettencourt riffs.. so I prolly need a RAT pedal to make it sound right.

I already have a Motorola LM308 I harvested from an old DOD effects pedal from the 1980's a long time ago.
I ordered the Fairchild Semiconductor metal-can IC UA308HC from SmallBearElectronics yesterday.
This morning I ordered an OP07 chip and a couple of 8-pin DIP sockets from StompBoxParts.com
I already have a Texas Instruments UA741CP (circa 1977), and an NOS LM741CP chip.

Re: RAT Pedal Clone Build
I'd put the RAT in the same category as the fabled Klon Centaur (I have a J Rockett Archer IKON):
They both have a very pleasing clipping sound... along with a perfect EQing for most applications.
Legendary.
