It sounds tighter and crunchier on the second PMD clip. What voltage is this?

With more voltage on the plates the amp is going to be a whole bunch louder and punchier than at 90 ACV so you are going to have to turn the Master volume down to compensate to like 2-5 max whereas at 90ACV you were on 6.

Your first clip it sounds like you are clipping your IR signal because of the extra volume and punch.

After listening back to the first clip, I caught that too.. so I boosted 5Khz in the EQ inside the DAW and I started to thing it did sound better with more high-end.

If that's only 100ACV then take it up to 110/115 maybe even 120ACV and remember the amp is going to get louder with more voltage so back down your Master Volume accordingly. I think it will only get even better at 110ACV- 120ACV quite honestly. It' s already a dramatic difference at 100ACV... WOW

So if it tightened up that much with just 10 ACV 90-100 then increase it another 15ACV to 115ACV and see what it does. I suspect it will get even better.

C'mon .... you have to hear the difference and feel the difference playing without that 90ACV sag......

That is the closest your NUNO tone has ever been...... Actually I'm not shocked at all........ Some more voltage and some tweaking of the high end bite and you'll be there.

If you are feeling frisky install that 50K liner NFB pot and that will be the last piece of the puzzle.

The FW pickup does a pretty good NUNO you'll just need to EQ in more highs and bite as if it were a BL L500XL.

Where were you running the preamp gain in this HMWH clip?
