Roccaforte HG 100
Was able to plug into this beast of an amp today and have a go at volume and can't stop smiling. My ears are still ringing from the tonal goodness of this wonderful amplifier.

One of the first Boutique higher gain amps form the Harmony Central days!
Although he allegedly stole his design layout from Kevin O' Connor's book The Ultimate Tone. Same basic topography as Splawn and Cameron Aldrich.

Re: Roccaforte HG 100
I guess I should not have said stolen. The basic design of converting the cathode follower to gain stage providing 4 gain stages was laid out in the Kevin O'Connors "The Ultimate Tone" Techie book for amp guys. Kevin O'connor also had the use of zener diodes ala Jose in the same book, it was all public information.
Mesa Boogie was the first to use multiple gain stages as well as Mike Soldano was essentially the first to use 4 gain stages in the SLO for this application and I think Jose Arendondo also did some amp where he added a 4 gain stage. Then we got the 5150 in the 90's.
It's been a while since I heard a Roccaforte but I remember they were all the rage in the early 2000's on Harmony Central during the amp gain wars.
