McCartney is Dead?
We all know the legend behind this (some fascinating stuff, including an Italian forensics team indicating that the features of old Paul does not match young Paul).

Re: McCartney is Dead?
I seen something on this a long time ago, supposedly Paul died in a car accident. Is there definitively proof that this BIlly guy is/was a Paul stand in.
I can't say it's not interesting...

Billy Shears amd Paul are two different people. Billy had the most talent inmy opinion.CoolGuitarGear wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 12:07 am We all know the legend behind this (some fascinating stuff, including an Italian forensics team indicating that the features of old Paul does not match young Paul).

He likely did, and based on the timeline in the original post, I'm doubtful the Beatles even wrote most of their early hits, including whatever was on Rubber Soul (and possibly Revolver)... Shears may have had a hand in those albums, though. Weird when Ringo (on the Anthology box set) suggests that their music became more interesting as "the writers" developed more complex song. He never referenced Paul or John... but "the writers." Then there's the fact that they were a cover band and George Martin didn't like much of their original material... and that newspaper article that talked about "the boys" getting a record deal and that Martin had some songs for them to rehearse and record once they returned from touring. There's more too it, like touring so much and burning out, and any free time was spent smoking pot or being with their wives/gfs. And then doing Rubber Soul within two weeks or less and then releasing the album in record time (suggesting all the instruments were pre-recorded and they added their voices). Ah, the CULT of it all.

Re: McCartney is Dead?
I think a lot of people would be surprised of who is currently dead and who is currently alive.
