The funny thing is the video used in that clip is from an old video The Onion put together and was supposed to be satirical but in reality, they're not lying as after Facebook was created and took off (at first I remember receiving an invite and back then, you had to be a student or alumni or in business and have an invite to create an account) it took MySpace over and big-time. Former agents are on record saying that for years and years they brainstormed and plotted and planned just how they could sell some form of mass surveillance to the people and with the advent of smartphones and social media, they didnt have to do a damn thing...the people embraced it wholly. And here we are.
