I have dipped my foot into the pond a bit with this. One of the facts that can't be denied is that pilots are trained to fly and navigate earth as an exactly flat plane, they do not account for curvature whatsover when they are flying at say 30,000 feet, they get up to cruising altitude and they lock it in until they descend. You would think they would have to continually nose down to account for the curvature, but they absolutely don't and flight training manuals verify this everywhere. 8-) :o

I would have to say they the FE's make a compelling argument...and the globsters have a hard time not resorting to the typical name calling when they can't answer simple obvious questions which should be easy to address or refute.
