Did some homework and IP checking and other stuff and found out just that. Yes, you can get paid "professionally" to post on forums. Why would someone pay someone else to post? To make their forum look like it is way more active than it really is.

For example, one guy's email domain is from Montenegro, but his IP address says UK and he pretends to be American.

Also a lot of them only post in Off Topic and never in the Gear section. Also see: viewtopic.php?f=39&t=6416

The whole rig-talk.com forum is a fraud/fake.
