Thanks. Took the time to adjust levels on gear. Got rid of crashing treble from my amp too.
Speaking of, I've found some 50K 24mm Alpha pots, will be here tomorrow.
Next I might try 2 mic setup: the SM57 where it currently is, another SM57 on the cone (so, "bass" and "treble" tracks).
