I know I'm late to this thread but that sounds fucking great!

There's a "tightness" there and then the sustain and all the little nuances bright and clear.

Is it a drive (asking because of gain knob) or just a boost?

My klone doesn't do that.
My SD-1 doesn't do that, well quite like that...

The original device was noting more than a volume pedal.

It's a clean boost.

Sorry for late reply and appreciate the reply.

If you remember me from the other site, i dont get on here unless at work. I had end of year off.

After building my three amps, Ive been all about trying to get my tone just from amp (Metro JTM45) and guitar. Well maybe a little delay...

I have noticed though hitting one of my drives it does get a little tighter and a bit more aggressive.

I was looking at Analogmans Beano and Bad Bob boosts.
I really want to keep the integrity of the amp, so I've tried not using pedals as such.

But there is that looseness...

Thanks for the heads up on the boost PLX.

Try a simple graphic EQ (6 band, 10 band, etc) pedal out front and sculpt a high pass while leaving the rest of the (higher) freqs flat.

After replying to PLX yesterday, I got off my ass and did some mechanic work like my employer expects me too and for some reason started thinking. Odd, I know...

I mention PLX because after replying to him I started thinking he would just tell me to build my own rather than buy a "production" boost.
