Stickied.

Just as you'd do with any hacked forum, stay off until the smoke clears and the green light is lit. If you don't, like you say: your account can get hacked, your computer could get a virus etc...

We know of a few forums that were hacked in the past ( rig-talk.com ) and user accounts were stolen and used for trolling and other shit stirring.

I know that place. Lots of castoffs from TGP and was started as an alternative to it. Some really good guitar players there, if you ignore the whiny children & eurohomos. Not a very big audience though.

And go fuck yourselves. By the way

I wonder if it has anything to do with this:

https://thegearforum.com/threads/so-a-t ... 1650.7395/

They talk a lot of shit about TGP over at TGF.

I can confirm through a couple of anonymous sources who post there and other admins that I know out on the internet. how did TheRealDonnie get this info? Sounds like the administrator and moderators decided not to say anything on the forum because that would lead to mass migrations to other more secure gear forums.

Don't know if they've fixed the problem yet, but I doubt they have in this short amount of time. A server hack can take weeks or even months to clean up everything and restore databases. Sometimes never, and you have to start all over. :!:
