Anybody using a Universal Audio Volt?
Just wondering what you think?
I haven't done any kind of recording in 15 years, nothing I have anymore is probably worth anything.
Actually went to school for recording.
Shame on me...
Anyways, my buddy mentioned getting one of these Volt interfaces.
I really would like to post clips here.
I'm not going to outplay anybody, but since building my three amps I've really gotten into tone.

Re: Universal Audio Volt
I've got the UA Apollo 6x and it is fantastic.
Even though the Volt is entry-level, all UA stuff is professional (not consumer or prosumer) quality.
Along these lines, the good news is they are finally making native versions of their plugins (native meaning - don't need hardware to run; software that works anywhere); several done already and I'm sure more in the works. Previously you would have to have an Apollo with the SHARC chips in it to run their plugins.

Re: Universal Audio Volt
I feel I have gotten so far removed from the recording aspect.
Sold the few mics I had.
Appreciate the feedback.
Hitting 50 in a couple months and the wife keeps asking me what I want...

Re: Universal Audio Volt
Ended up purchasing a Motu M2.
Only used a couple of times so far.
My buddy helped me set up a guitar track in Logic.
Now i can play with heads, cabs and effects while learning the ropes of Logic.

Re: Universal Audio Volt
Using an IR-J into the Motu now.
Rips pretty good.
Getting better at setting up a guitar track, but now would like to add drums.
I imagine there is going to be a lot to learn to set up pre sampled drum tracks, especially if I want different tempos and different times?
I know Im a noob to this.
Wish I had more free time.

Re: Universal Audio Volt
I need to get a decent set of monitors.
Im getting tired of headphones and the cable.
And boy, I hate the fucking coily type cable the headphones have!
Any advice on monitors to look at would be appreciated?
