85~90% of the traffic on these sites is fake. sock-puppets, bots. there's only a few real people on there and unfortunately they're dumb enough to be fooled and think what they see is real.
most of it is being done for ad revenue, but some of it is angry losers who gave up on playing guitar because it takes work to get good, and they want to ruin for anyone else who might be overcoming the difficulty and actually learning and improving at the instrument.
