Can we have a General Discussion section in the Gear section?

I think it would be productive and most widely used because it covers everything guitar and would generate the most traffic. Just a suggestion.....

I tend to agree, brother, but isn't that what the "Miscellaneous" sub-forum's for?

I'd like to see, for similar reasons, the following:

Share Your Music
Share Your Favourite Clips
Virtuoso Clips (Music Video, Performances, Tutorials etc.)

The Miscellaneous is for miscellaneous gear (tuners, strings etc); hence the "Gear" category.

There will be some more forums coming.

If we have a General Discussion for gear (like stupid rig-talk.com for example), then important stuff will disappear off the 1st page very quickly - that's why we have gear categories. rig-talk.com's forum layout is stupid; someone posts in the general "Rig Talk" forum and a couple hours later their post is on the 2nd page. The next day it's on the 3rd or 4th page. Anyone who didn't log in within that 24 hour period will totally miss it.

We can do a General Discussion for life stuff, however.

I understand the desire for specific topic sections but there are alot of times where a general Rig/gear discussion would be more fitting for items like Monkey Man stated, Hey check out this vid, What bands did you like in the 80/90/2000's. stuff like that that would be difficult to place in a section like amps, guitars, effects. Just a thought.....
