I think you understand what I am saying. There are "saved" people at all kinds of odds with other "saved" people over doctrinal, political, theological, denominational differences, etc. The people are the church correct? Not the 4 walls.PLX wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 3:08 amWell, "the church" is the only thing in this world that is not a mess.RockyStar wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 3:05 am I am with you on most people being lost. The answer to John 3:16 is John 3:3.
Still, the "church" itself is a mess. Division, doctrinal differences, Black Church, White Church, etc. How I see it is there is only one true church and one true Gospel. To identify with anything aside from that is less than the entirety of the life / death / resurrection of Jesus and all He did on the believer behalf.
I think you're still confusing things/people/groups who are definitely not "the church" with "the church" as defined by the Bible.

I know what you are saying and I agree that who or what the general public views as the church or Christianity will in many instances differ strongly in the eyes of God. The church being comprised of humans is far from perfect, and as the saying goes "if you ever find the perfect church don't go...you'll wreck it."PLX wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 3:08 amWell, "the church" is the only thing in this world that is not a mess.RockyStar wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 3:05 am I am with you on most people being lost. All who place their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into one united, spiritual body, the church, the bride of Christ, of which Christ is the head.
The formation of the church, the body of Christ, began on the day of Pentecost (Ac 2:1-21,38-47) and will be completed at the coming of Christ for his own at the Rapture (1Co 15:51,52; 1Th 4:13-18).

Re: Australia is building concentration camps...
There are people who go to buildings with a cross on top of the roof every weekend and listen to someone quote a few Bible verses, though the majority of their teaching is not sound Biblical doctrine. They do not believe in Hell, sin or even that Christ is the only way to Heaven. The Bible is very clear on those subjects. Sure, we should feed the poor and bring blankets to the homeless and stuff like that but those kind of works will not get anyone into Heaven. Without saving faith in Jesus Christ there is eternal seperation from God in Hell. People may not like that and I may not even think that is fair. The thing is is that I am not God so I don't get to make the rules. God does and that is one of the perks of being God. It is sad how much deceptive and deceitful teaching can be found in supposed Christian churches these days. All religions are not the same and they do not all lead to the same place. You and I both know this well. It is just so sad how easily so many people are led astray from ever really knowing the one true and living God.PLX wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 11:30 am All who place their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into one united, spiritual body, the church, the bride of Christ, of which Christ is the head.

The thing I find odd these days is the number of people running around spouting off "Christian" concepts, and yet they are getting every aspect of Christian theology wrong..
example: "Everyone goes to heaven, and yet there is no hell." I hear so many people say this sort of thing, and yet when you question the mere logic of this statement.. they get angry. And I mean throwin' fists angry.

And you can't tell people anything these days .. they will hear no correction. Whatever delusion they have about God, or Christianity is what they're going to bet their eternity on. And it's sad when you hear it out of their own mouths, and it's all error.

Re: Australia is building concentration camps...
A big reason they believe these things is becuase they listen to people teaching the Bible who do not like what the Bible actually says so they create their own beliefs and teach them as God's word to gullible and lazy people who never bother to pick up a Bible themselves and read it from cover to cover. The Bible is pretty clear and easy to understand. There are certainly some things in it which are open to interpretation or debate, but when it comes to the basics or essential tenets of the Christian faith the Bible is very clear. Not a lot ambiguity concerning the core beliefs of the Christian faith.PLX wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 10:19 pmAll true.John 14:6 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 9:47 pm There are people who go to buildings with a cross on top of the roof every weekend and listen to someone quote a few Bible verses, though the majority of their teaching is not sound Biblical doctrine. Yeah, there's so much false teaching out there. I've got three Bible scholars I study with/from:John 14:6 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 10:59 pm A big reason they believe these things is becuase they listen to people teaching the Bible who do not like what the Bible actually says so they create their own beliefs and teach them as God's word to gullible and lazy people who never bother to pick up a Bible themselves and read it from cover to cover. John MacArthur out in California.
Charles Lawson out of Knoxville, Tennessee.
and Chuck Missler, who passed several years ago. I have quite a few of his books, and you can stream lots of his Bible expositions on YouTube for free.

Re: Australia is building concentration camps...
All good dialogue here.
I often wonder why so little is taught on post resurrection things. It seems like the majority of the "church" stops at the cross. You seldom hear about the new creation and what that entails. The finished work of Christ is vital to the believer yet so few know their position now in Christ. My thought is if they knew who they really were IN CHRIST they would probably struggle with far less.
