So not only was this guy a serial police impersonator but also a sex offender...Imagine hiring his company to escort your loved one's funeral haha!

I just found this guys antics and screaming pure comedy.....

Are Auxiliary police real police with the same authority? Are they even deputized by the Sheriff? Citizens on Patrol

So let me get this straight... this guy and his wannabe friends have cars and motorcycles all equipped like police to escort funerals so they can act like they are police? WOW that is bizzaroworld and a little deranged.

Believe it or not that shit happens more than you think.
Usually, Auxiliary Police Officers are still state certified and sworn officers that are used to supplement small departments that cannot afford to add additional officers.
A lot of Auxiliary postions are voluntary or for very little pay and are used as experience and/or a way to get into a full time position somewhere.
However, I can't speak for all departments so there may be some that just say "you're an auxiliary officer" without any state training but I've never encountered one.
This guy was just a wannabe and thankfully he got popped.
Also, a lot of the "motorycycle cops" you see for funerals are not actually real cops. They are just private funeral procession officers.
Citizens on Patrol groups are not sworn or with any police powers. They are exactly as at sounds, citizens patrolling their communities. They have in the past been very beneficial but at this point in our country, it is my opinion that they should be scaled back or suspended for safety reasons. The assholes don't think twice about assaulting or shooting at uniformed police officers so putting citizens out there, voluntary or not, just isn't safe.
