I recall telling someone about not being able to go to Antarctica, and that a ship or plane, etc., would be there to meet you and have you turn around. the Nazi's flew over and dropped these metal spikes with swastikas engraved on the top. This is an actual legal claim to previously unclaimed land ownership. They did this in the late 1930's.
