Re: Glimpses Of Clown World
This little fucker...I'd LOVE to spend some one-on-one time with him...this little puto is upset his friends are in jail on New year's Eve for killing people while driving drunk so he smashed the victims' memorial - supposedly this is the second time, first time he urinated on it:
Here's some of their "crew"...

Thanks, man! Yeah, it is a WMI/S Korea Stealth - bought it about four years ago new for @ $800 with a coupon from MF...I always dug the Stealth shape and loved the specs on this thing so pulled the trigger and love this guitar. I've kept it stock except for throwing some titanium string lock blocks in it as the stock ones started breaking strings about a year and a half in...you always hear these people talk shit about Dean guitars on the forums but the S Korean and especially the USA stuff has all been really nice in my experience.

I have a USA made Dean ML. The guitar is great ! I did upgrade the pickups to custom wound one's I had made to my specs. Also upgraded the bridge with a Schaller roller bridge.
My Korean-made Dean ATF-3000 is my favorite. On that one, I upgraded the pickups and changed the Floyd to a German-made Schaller Floyd and a big brass sustain block.
Great guitars

I have a 2007 Dean Dime Midnight (China) model(only 50 were made) but the body is thinner than what I know the original Deans were. It did come with a Made in Germany Floyd Rose, it's black with triple binding around the body, fretboard edge and headstock like a Les Paul custom and abalone inlays on the fretboard and dean logo. I installed a Bill Lawrence USA flipped and a SD59 neck with EVH low friction pots. It plays and stays in tune well but I hate floating Floyds. The Bill Lawrence USA sound greats running through my full Dime rig, Vintage MXR 6 band>Furman PQ-3>ISP decimatorII>1989 Randall RG100ES but any other amps it's thin and weak sounding and really a disappointment. I now see why Dime had to boost the shit out of the front end to get what he wanted out of that BLUSA L500XL.

I just put the Dean and entire Dime rig up for sale on CL my Dime days are over but I enjoyed the journey like my EVH adventure.

Re: Glimpses Of Clown World
When I got my Dimebag "Dean from Hell" it had the "traction knob" on the pickup volume controls. I wanted to get those for my other ML's, so I called Dean guitars..harddriver wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 5:17 am Nice Dime Watson! The salesman actually laughed at me. Told me they didn't sell them, you just had to make them yourself. I started looking closely at it and realized they created that effect by taking a hot soldering iron with a fine tip and ramming it into the sides of the hat-box style knobs all around the outside.
Man, I got a box full of really nasty looking mess ups learning to make those.
