I think I liked the other two previous ones more, this one sounds more subdued and less angry and bitey less focused int he mid attack. I'll have to listen again but that is my initial reaction.

Nope.. I stand by my initial gut reaction. Your previous ATBL and Noodles from tones from the first album the guitar has more presence and bit to it's attack. The guitar tone here is more rounded and softer in the attack almost like too much compression...it's how I hear it for better or worse. It could be the reverb.

That will soften things up.
And my strings are a little older now too...
Nah... Ed loved recording will old dead strings, he said they were warmer. Do you remember he used to boil his new strings supposedly to get the stretch out and warm them up.
