Master Of Puppets turns 36 today...hard to believe we are staring-down 40 years since those days.

There was an awesome interview I used to read over and over again in Thrasher that year. Great times.

wow this is impressive

I have rediscovered or relearnt something I had forgotten with age. As I get older and try to listen to new bands playing the type of rock/metal I love it just all sounds blah to me because well the guys that did that first did it best imo .. so here I am doing the thing I did in 1997 when metal/rock had hit the wall .. I started listening to different genres back then that I never really gave a chance previously and found a whole new love for music by discovering Cradle of filth, Type O negative etc. I had dipped my toes in around 92 when I got some Bathory, Death and Carcass but never really went much further, but 97 was life changing and I went on an awesome black metal journey
And now here I am again discovering some great new Doom/Blackened Death ... Could never get into old Doom like Candlemas etc but the newer bands are great ... I am actually listening to music again for the first time in a long time and most of that is directly because of this thread on this site so thanks guys
